Easter class snack - Cheeseball carrots

Posted by Miranda Weldon on

Everyone knows the Easter bunny loves carrots, but kindergarten kids, probably not as much (although my daughter does love roasted carrots with goat cheese)! My daughters class had a STEM activity and craft planned that involved carrots the week before Easter. I was trying to come up with an idea for their special snack that matched the carrot theme, without having them turn their noses up at raw carrot sticks!  I decided I wanted to make something that looked like a carrot but with a more child friendly flavor. I happened to be making some Royal icing cookies that week...

Princess and the Frog Family Movie Night

My husband was traveling for work to New Orleans, and brought home Beignet mix from Cafe Du Monde. If you have never had a beignet from Cafe Du Monde, you have been missing out! They are incredible! St.Patrick’s Day Juice Boxes

Posted by Miranda Weldon on

I wanted to make cute juices for the St.Patrick’s Day snack in my daughter’s class. I found these cute Pinch Punch Tags and planned to hang them on Kool-Aid Jammer bottles, but none of the stores in my area had green in stock. I decided to just buy regular juice boxes instead, but I still wanted to use the round Pinch Punch Tags I had printed before I realized I couldn’t find green bottles. Juice boxes with their brand name/pictures/nutritional facts didn’t really scream St.Patrick’s Day to me, so I gave them a quick makeover. First I removed each straw that was...
