Encanto family movie night

We needed party food and treats for our family movie night watching Disney’s Encanto. I made Arepas con queso, zucchini Rellenos and tostones with guacamole as entrees. I added Bruno’s vision cupcakes and flower pretzel bites as sweets. For our popcorn I made paper cups that looked like the candle. Hurricane mocktails were the perfect drink!

Reading Campout Day - Class Snack - Let’s read s’more bags

The last week of school was the room mom gauntlet of special days! I always make and send special snacks for themed days and the last week of school was full of themed days!  One of the last days our teacher planned was Reading Campout Day. She set up reading tents in the classroom and encouraged everyone to bring blankets, a flashlight and a favorite book. Making Tie Dye Shirts with class

  The kindergarten teachers at my daughters school decided to have a field day as an end of the year celebration, and wanted for each class to make tie dye shirts in different color combinations to wear during the field day activities. The room moms for each class were in charge of coordinating the tie dye project for each class. Years ago my oldest daughter wanted to tie dye stuff during a sleepover. Sea Anemone costume DIY

The kindergarten classes at my daughters school have Habitat day. Each of the 12 kindergarten classes are assigned a different habitat and each student is assigned an animal from their classes habitat. The kids have to research their animal, write a paper, dress up as their animal and then give a presentation to all the other kindergarten classes. My daughter brought home a paper with her assigned animal, Sea Anemone! Yikes!
