My teenage daughter suggested we watch the movie Free Guy for a movie night. She had seen it in the theatre and thought the whole family would like it. I saw it had a PG-13 rating, and questioned if it would be appropriate for her seven year old sister. She said she didn't remember anything real bad, and that there may have been a few bad words. Making leprechaun traps with First Grade class

Our First grade class made their own leprechaun traps with these supplies and I made leprechaun pocket pals for them to catch inside their traps. This was a great St.Patrick’s day STEM activity for our class. Their excitement seeing the leprechauns they caught was like Christmas morning!

Encanto family movie night

We needed party food and treats for our family movie night watching Disney’s Encanto. I made Arepas con queso, zucchini Rellenos and tostones with guacamole as entrees. I added Bruno’s vision cupcakes and flower pretzel bites as sweets. For our popcorn I made paper cups that looked like the candle. Hurricane mocktails were the perfect drink!

Reading Campout Day - Class Snack - Let’s read s’more bags

The last week of school was the room mom gauntlet of special days! I always make and send special snacks for themed days and the last week of school was full of themed days!  One of the last days our teacher planned was Reading Campout Day. She set up reading tents in the classroom and encouraged everyone to bring blankets, a flashlight and a favorite book.
