Disney’s Enchanted Movie Night

Posted by Miranda Weldon on

I think Disney’s Enchanted (with Patrick Dempsey, Amy Adams, Susan Sarandon and more) is probably the most under-rated Disney movie of all time! I’ve mentioned it to so many times to friends and family and they have never seen it or heard of it! It’s one of my absolute favorites though! When Disney+ first came out I remember trying to watch it only to realize it wasn’t yet on the platform. I recently read an article that talked about the sequel, Disenchanted, coming to Disney+ later this year. Not only was I super excited for the sequel, but it...

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Family Movie Night

Posted by Miranda Weldon on

As I shared already, in attempt to spend more family time together before my oldest daughter goes to college in a year and a half, I’m challenging myself to do at least 2 family movie nights per month complete with themed snacks. It was time to pick our first movie, I wanted a movie I hadn’t seen yet, but knew enough about to come up with some themed snacks. My daughter was so surprised and excited when she opened her door the morning of her birthday and balloons rained down on her.  Supplies used:  Crepe paper streamers Clear packaging Tape Balloons Balloon pump (optional) After my daughter went to bed the night before her birthday, I set this up by taking strips of crepe paper streamers and taped them across the top half of the door frame in cross crossed patterns. I found clear packaging tape worked best (scotch tape broke...

Super Easy Trolls Cupcake Cake

Posted by Miranda Weldon on

As I’ve said before, I’m an excellent baker but not very good at cake decorating! I love to make my kids birthday cakes but am constantly looking for what I know I can pull off with my limited skill set. When planning a Trolls themed birthday party, I saw lots of beautiful Trolls cakes, but they all required more piping skills than I have, or a lot more fondant work than I was comfortable with. I found a set of Trolls Figurines that could be used a cake toppers, but didn’t like the idea of just throwing them on top of...
