My Under the Sea Cake DIY

We spent a week in Grand Cayman doing lots of snorkeling before my daughter’s 7th birthday, so when I asked her what theme she would like for her party, she choose Under the Sea. I’ve mentioned before that I’m a pretty good baker, but I’m not very a good at decorating cakes. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Family Movie Night

As I shared already, in attempt to spend more family time together before my oldest daughter goes to college in a year and a half, I’m challenging myself to do at least 2 family movie nights per month complete with themed snacks. It was time to pick our first movie, I wanted a movie I hadn’t seen yet, but knew enough about to come up with some themed snacks. Birthday Surprise Raining Balloons

This is such a fun but easy Birthday surprise! It’s super quick to set up and very inexpensive. My daughter was so surprised and excited when she opened her door the morning of her birthday and balloons rained down on her.  Supplies used:  Crepe paper streamers Clear packaging Tape Balloons Balloon pump (optional) After my daughter went to bed the night before her birthday, I set this up by taking strips of crepe paper streamers and taped them across the top half of the door frame in cross crossed patterns. Super Easy Trolls Cupcake Cake

As I’ve said before, I’m an excellent baker but not very good at cake decorating!
